My Top 5 Favorite Destinations (so far)

You read it right! This post is to share with you my favorite destinations and why I love those destinations.

1. Rome, Italy (and The Vatican)

I never recall any single flight to Rome that I just stayed in the hotel. I will really feel bad if that's the case!

Why I love Rome: There are too many places to see around the beautiful city of Rome - The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, The Pantheon and include The Vatican to this list to name a few.

Aside from the landmarks that Roma can offer, I love Italian food- Pasta, pizza, gelato! They are all delicious!

2. Los Angeles , California, USA

I don't mind the 16-hour flight to LAX! I don't care if I feel like a zombie after the flight. I always look forward to doing this flight every month. How I wish!

Why I love LA? This is my home away from home. Don't you ever think how nice it is to see the people dear to you after work? I never feel so bored with LA. I always love meeting the people dear to me. Layovers here are always fun fun fun. Looking forward to some Disneyland adventures! Add to this, I found shopping here cheaper compared to the Big Apple.

3. New York, USA

One hand in the air for the concrete jungle! Though New York is filled with buildings and busy people, I never feel stressed!

Why I love NYC: I can spend hours and hours just walking around. I love going to Sephora here! They have everything I need! I love the fact that if I don't get the make-up I need in one branch, it's just so easy to hop on to the other branch. It's easy to get around NYC as well either by foot or subway. I look forward to meeting Lady Liberty in person!

4. Amsterdam, The Netherlands

I always wanted to see this country especially Amsterdam. This city never made me disappointed.

Why I love Amsterdam:  Don't you ever find those canal houses beautiful? They look picturesque during the night! I considered myself lucky when I did the flight to this city during spring/summertime! I've seen the how lovely the tulips are. They are such a breather.  How can I not mention the windmills? They gave me good vibes!

Apart from the things that I mentioned, I like how it is easy to go around in Amsterdam. Tourist spots (in the city) are not so far from each other.

5. Seoul, South Korea

Annyeong Haseyo!  We have a long flight going to this place but, I can have my retail therapy here!

Why I love Seoul: This is a shopping paradise for a make-up junkie! I like getting make-up remover wipes, blush-on, brow pencils and etc in Korea. I love Korean food as well!

This is one of the places where you can combine sightseeing and shopping. The Gyeongbokgung palace is easy to reach by metro! Add to this, I never found any difficulty analyzing their metro.

So there you go! These are my top 5 favorite destinations so far. I will love reading yours as well. Hope you enjoyed this post.

I never really talk about my relationship in any social media (facebook, etc.). I rarely post something about love life and all other similar stuff on my blog after stepping out of the university. I probably graduated on it as well after I finished my degree.*winks* But since it's Valentine's Day, I want to share my thoughts on being on a long distance relationship AKA LDR.

I've known people who have been and are currently on a long distance relationship - some are going strong while some already parted ways. My parents are in a long distance relationship for more than 30 years now (because papa works abroad even before they got married) and it's so cute to see how many letters they have exchanged with in so many years. I am a fan of receiving letters and cards (whatever the occasion is).  I find it thoughtful and sweet that someone thinks about what words to put in that little paper.

Let's get into the purpose of this blog entry. So what I really think about LDR? Here are my thoughts:

1. It's just the same with a non-long distance relationship except that you spend less time with your "special someone" physically.

2. IT DEPENDS. It depends on the two people involved.  Just like any kind of relationship, there should be two people working and not just one. Relationships can never be one way, otherwise, better to part ways.

3. TRUST is an essential part in any kind of relationship - especially on LDR since you don't get to spend more time together all the time or as often as you wish.

4. COMMUNICATION is vital.  One simple message may mean a lot to your boyfriend or girlfriend, unless,he or she is being so demanding about receiving messages 24 hours a day when your work does not allow you to do so. It doesn't matter what kind of messaging application you have. It does not necessarily mean "Skype-ing" either. What matters is that you keep in touch (in any form) as frequent as you can.

I am no love guru when it comes to this. I may have put on thoughts that you may or may not agree.  I just spoke from experience, observation and understanding.

Happy Hearts Day Everyone!
